Welcome! ¡Bienvenidos! Sat sri akal!
It is my pleasure to take this opportunity to welcome you to Livingston High School! As you know, the MUHSD School Board of Trustees has made the decision to delay the start of school until Wednesday, August 19th. This one-week delay will help ensure that some critical student and family supports are in place. We are beginning the 2020-2021 school year under unprecedented circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic, however, we at LHS are committed to continuing to do our best to ensure that we offer a student-centered educational experience that provides opportunities to explore various post high school options, to practice skills needed in the workplace, and to develop competency in a variety of subjects.
At Livingston High School we value respect, accountability, integrity, and involvement, and we are committed to creating college and career ready graduates. LHS lives by our maxims: We Create (ideas are discovered by exploring new perspectives), We Build (solutions are strengthened by collaboration), and We Share (relationships are sustained by open communication).
We will work together as a team to provide students with opportunities to explore and experience success. Our students’ successes take place with the support of parents, school staff, and our community partners. We will continue to focus on the power of positive working relationships and giving students opportunities to not only reveal, affirm, and discover their inner wealth and personal strengths, but also to develop new skills to apply in high school, in their future workplaces, and in their post-secondary educational endeavors.
At LHS, we hope that each of you will be full participants in the high school educational process. Our administrators, counselors, teachers and classified staff are here to support students and parents so that students reach their goals and have the best educational experience possible. Let’s Love Purple, Live Gold every day!
Charles Jolly, Principal
